Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)

A Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) is a group of medical experts from different disciplines, including surgical oncology, oncology, pathology, radiology, radiotherapy, endoscopy, etc., who are invited to conduct regular meetings and consultations for an individual patient to discuss the optimal treatment plan that suits the patient’s current condition. The treatment plan will then be strictly implemented by the single discipline in charge, or by multiple disciplines. In the meantime, the MDT will regularly evaluate and optimize the treatment plan according to patient’s feedback, and constantly modify existing treatment plan.
